Chu lecturing the rest of us on energy usage is laughable - here is a guy who spent a half a billion of the taxpayers' bucks (through his ferschlugginer Energy Department-funded Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) pursuing such pie-in-the-sky projects as cellosic ethanol. He also authored such howlers as, when speaking of nuclear energy, "after 60 years of research we are not yet close. The most optimistic researchers predict that maybe in 40 or 50 years, commercial energy sources based on nuclear fusion may become possible." Excuse me!!??! Someone really oughta tell the French that all that nuclear-generated electricity flowing through their wires isn't real.
Chu is a joke ... his idea of a really great way to lose weight is to buy larger size pants.
